Circular Saw Steel

Our circular saws range from 75mm to 1200mm in diameter and are used in the timber, plastic, non-ferrous metal and steel industries. We also supply steel bodies for diamond coating for the glass, stone and metal working industries. All our blades are computer programmed on our unique CAD/CAM system and precision laser cut from premium 75Cr1 steel and 80CrV steel, hardened to 42-44 Rockwell C. The laser cut slots counter the expansion of the blade caused by heat and the centrifugal forces encountered during cutting.

These centrifugal forces are also counteracted by the precise run-out and tensioning procedures, designed to reduce vibration and noise and give a true, quiet cut. The tips we use for our carbide saws are micro-fine cobalt grades, specifically suited to the application and for our industrial panel saw range we use a sub-micron chromium grade to give even longer performance in packs of laminated chip-board and MDF. Precise grinding is carried out on Vollmer CNC grinding machines to the required tooth form for the application.

All our blades are manufactured at our Sheffield workshop by our expert team, who combine their extensive experience with the very latest equipment to produce an exceptional finished product.

Many of our circular saw blades are carried in stock. However, we are a specialist manufacturer of saw blades, so we can manufacture circular saws to customers specific requirements, for all cutting applications. We always seek to provide a comprehensive service based around quality, value & the customer- and we'll always go the extra mile to ensure your blade is manufactured, repaired or sharpened, and delivered back to you as quickly & smoothly as possible.
